★ 以下補足
モータルコンバットの Special Forces はアメリカ海兵隊員で結成されている架空の特殊部隊
Commander = 指揮を行う部隊長全般を指す用語
COは
Commanding Officer = 指揮官
Commissioned Officer = 士官・将校
のどちらなのか断定できないけど、ソニアの階級で指揮官と言うなら
Commanding Generalの方が適切な気がするので、Commissioned Officerの略かも
(※米軍の軍事用語に詳しい方の情報求む)
キャシーの“Commander“は階級ではなく、三等軍曹という階級の中で部隊長を務められるようになったと認識。
今回、良く分からなかったのがジャッキーの
“We needed to be tail-lights in five (min).”
って台詞で、ここでの
“tail-lights = 後続車に自分の存在を知らせるため後部に取り付けるライト”は
比喩表現で、今の状況(ジェイドを取り逃し、城の地下にある大聖堂の破壊が目的だと露見してしまう)を考えたら、5分で応援に来て欲しいって事かなと予想してこの訳に。
